6 Critical Components of Digital Marketing

In network marketing, networkers are using digital marketing in conjunction with traditional face-to-face marketing to secure customers and new downline networkers. Below are some of the ways that is happening.

After meeting someone at a trade show or via a referral, a networker will follow up and interact with the prospect by engaging the person online using the networker’s customized website. The opposite occurs as well whereby leads are generated via digital marketing and when possible, face-to-face meetings take place for the follow up. Product demos are made or samples are provided along with online engagement conducted such as viewing website, videos, etc. In addition some astute networkers also make use of a private online meeting room like meet.fm. (Disclosure: INLC has provided consulting to the company that owns meet.fm as that firm caters to the direct selling industry.)

In this short video by WSIWorld.com, the company provides a list of the
6 critical components of digital marketing. The components are as follows:

1) An engaging responsive website or blog
The site/blog should be mobile friendly, encourage interaction and have a call to action.

2) Measured search campaign
Search marketing using organic or PPC (pay-per-click) to drive traffic to a site/blog you own can be utilized but only as permitted by your company’s policies and procedures.

3) Email Marketing
Collecting the names and email addresses of prospects utilizing permission based email marketing tactics can allow you to stay in contact with those you met offline or online. When you send emails to a targeted audience on a consistent basis, you can build relationships if you are providing them with the type of information they are interested in receiving relating to your product/service and/or opportunity.

4) Social Media
The use of social media such as Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, etc. facilitates meeting people with similar interests, interaction with those in your target audience, and driving traffic to your site/blog.

5) Content Marketing
Use a content calendar in planning your posts. Send emails that drive readers to your site/blog posts and write social media updates that do the same.

6) Measure, modify and improve
Track responses to your social media updates and to your emails. Look at what’s working the best in terms of messaging and graphics. Do the same with any calls to action placed within the content on your site/blog. Testing, tracking and constantly improving your digital marketing strategy will give you a higher ROI in terms of securing new customers and new productive downline networkers. This is further enhanced when integrated properly with the personal touch interaction so well utilized in network marketing.
