Going for the Gold in Your MLM Network Marketing Business

by Debbi A. Ballard, MLM Consultant and Expert Witness

What a thrill it was watching Michael Phelps win all those Olympic gold medals. Are you going for the gold in your MLM network marketing business ?

If you’re striving to get financial independence from your MLM business or affiliate marketing program, consider what Michael and the other premier athletes did to reach their goals.

Was it just about getting quick returns on their efforts?
OR
Was it about working hard, staying on track, and looking at the longer-term picture?

It is often written that growth by corporate America is restrained due to some public companies being more concerned about short-term profits rather than long-term achievements and sustainability.

Do we see this occur all too often in the MLM and affiliate marketing worlds with both public and private firms?

You know the answer. You’ve seen it. You may have experienced it first hand.

And what about the millions of networkers and affiliates themselves, many of whom seem to have seriously deficient attention spans as they jump from opportunity to opportunity?

Are you guilty of this?

If so, don’t feel bad. There are times when you’re not to blame. The company (or your sponsor) sold you a bill of goods and then what you thought you were getting into turned out to be quite different. This can occur sometimes even after conducting a moderate level of due diligence.

However, if you tend to jump into an MLM business opportunity or an affiliate marketing program too quickly, then you need to take a deep breath, slow down and commit yourself to checking things out more carefully in the future. Just switching from one to another to another and hoping for something to “pop” is not the answer.

How can you become a better evaluator in your quest for a solid, enduring home-based business ?

The more you know about what YOU want to have in an ideal networking business that will facilitate achieving your specific goals, the better off you’ll be. The more education and training you get about what elements (like strong management, functional MLM compensation plans , oustanding support systems, marketable products, etc.) typically make for a solid MLM network marketing business and/or affiliate marketing program, the better off you’ll be.

Yes, Michael Phelps and the other outstanding Olympians who achieved success did it through a high level of commitment, perseverance, training and strong work ethic. Does this apply to MLM and affiliate marketing success stories? You bet it does.

Now I’m not saying you have to stay with a program for years and years before you know if it’s right for you. But don’t you think that making a commitment for a period of time is only reasonable? In addition, if you don’t do it yourself, why would anyone you brought into the program do it?

When you commit to make a concerted effort to give your opportunity a chance to succeed and train your new networkers to do the same, you can grow your MLM business faster and so can they.

(And if you’re trying to learn more about various internet marketing strategies to facilitate the growth of your MLM or affiliate business, you might want to check out a viral marketing program that could help attract people to your products and opportunity.)

Just remember, if you’re going for the gold in your MLM network marketing business or your affiliate marketing endeavor, think of Michael Phelps.
