In growing your mlm business, how to use hashtags on social media is an issue you must address. Knowing the various ways that can maximize their effectiveness allows you to be more productive.

This video by Social Media Worldwide addresses some key hashtag topics that can help you better understand the proper use of hashtags.

What is a hashtag?

A hashtag (#) is placed before a single word or a series of words. For example, you could find #mlmbusiness, #networkmarketing, or #homebusiness in a tweet or in a Facebook post. These would be posts relating to the mlm (or “network marketing”) industry. Find out what conversations are taking place by clicking on the associated hashtags. You can do the same when searching for conversations associated with hashtags in your product niche.

If you wish to use them in a post, just incorporate the most applicable hashtags related to that post. Think about the content of the post and the target audience you wish to view the post. Most hashtags are no longer than three words and the start of each word is capitalized. Do not put any spaces between the words.

Most social media experts advise not to use more than three hashtags per post. You can go here to find the best hashtags for a certain post you make. These hashtags are popular and so your post with these hashtags could find itself among a lot of different conversations on a certain topic.

The video also explains how Talkwalker can monitor certain hashtags for you. Using this tool will allow you to analyze which hashtags are working the best for you. I have made use of Talkwalker myself as it provides a variety of useful alerts.

As more and more followers are garnered via your posts and artful use of hashtags, you will gain more credibility as long as people find your content useful. This leads to additional customers and team members.

Make sure you view the entire video for more tips. Learning how to use hashtags on social media can, indeed, help you to grow your mlm business when you apply that information. So, now, just do it!

P. S. Some networkers and corporate executives might be inquisitive about how hashtags could be considered intellectual property. Here’s your answer.
