You’ve decided it’s time to start using Google AdWords and you want to use geotargeting to get your ads in front of your target audience who are in certain zip codes. You must now learn how to target zip codes in Google AdWords.

But why might you even want to do geotargeting?

After doing your research on geodemographic segmentation for your products, you’ve identified your target audience. You’re selling upscale beauty products and now you know the zip codes you wish to target. These zip codes are appealing because the women living in those zip codes match the profile of the women who would most likely be interested in purchasing your upscale beauty products.

If you are in a party plan company and like to host parties to sell your products, this tactic can be used to target the best zip codes in your area that could create the most customers. If you are a networker who likes to meet face-to-face with local people in your area for personal meetings, this geodemographic targeting is also very useful. If you are doing a lot of prospecting online on a national basis, then honing in on targeted zip codes for your PPC campaigns can give you a better ROI. If you own or manage a network marketing company and are considering an ad campaign to launch for mlm lead generation purposes, and/or to increase brand recognition consider using geodemographic segmentation.

You’ve decided to use Google AdWords to drive traffic to your beauty blog. You want to capture visitors emails with an opt-in form giving you permission to contact them. So how do you tap into those valuable zip code location targeting features?

The short video above gives you step by step instructions. It’s quick and easy to implement. You can also get all the location targeting options and instructions directly from Google here.

You can now see that it’s not hard to target zip codes in Google AdWords for your mlm lead generation ad campaigns. Set up your campaigns properly, test different ads and track your results. Make sure you monitor your spending and set a daily budget with which you are comfortable. Let us know by commenting below if you have targeted zip codes in any of your AdWords campaigns.

  1. Great advice Debbi,

Most mlm/ppc advertising advice seems to focus purely on recruitment and misses valuable customer targeting tools such as this.
