Brad stresses that you should devote at least one hour per day to implementing your social media strategy. Don’t forget to utilize the tips found in a previous post on how to use Facebook Audience Insights.

Examine the resources that you have. Are you going to do the work yourself? Are you going to hire a freelancer or outsource the work to a social media firm? Are you going to train one of your employees instead to do the work?

Then set a budget taking into account the time you and/or your team will spend planning and executing. Brad recommends a minimum spend of $500.00 (U.S.) per month. (Large firms typically spend much more than that.)

Make sure your social media manager posts at least 3 times per week on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Pinterest. Schedule the posts according to the best times your target audience will most likely read them. Have calls to action and keep track of your KPIs (key performance indicators).

Test your messages. Which images work better or do your messages get better responses without images? Test varying texts. Test the days and time slots.

Analyze your results and then make adjustments to your social media strategy and messages. Make sure everything addresses the changing dynamics of your target audience.
